SPCC Moon Festival 2025
Saturday October 4th from 11am to 2:30pm
South Pasadena Community Room and Library Park
We had a wonderful turnout at our Moon Festival this year with over 600 people in attendance. It couldn’t have happened without our amazing committee who came up with new ideas for this event and all the volunteers who helped out. The South Pasadena Community Room was packed with kids making play-doh moon cakes, moon cake paper boxes, flowers, pinwheels, and lanterns. Adults and kids participated in the chopstick challenge, learned Rubik’s cube, and had their names written in Chinese at the Chinese calligraphy booth.
Outside the community room, there were lively performances, including cultural dances, singing, martial arts demonstrations, a face changing performance, story time with dual immersion language teacher Judy Ho, and a chalk drawing competition. Our food booth volunteers sold out all the food in just an hour and a half!
This was our first time back at the Library Park since COVID. It felt so good to be there again; it’s cozy, family-friendly, and full of community spirit!
Thank you to the City of South Pasadena for co-sponsoring with SPCC and to everyone who volunteered to make this year’s Moon Festival such a fun and successful event!
