Language Awards: Two awards of $500 each
To encourage the learning of the Chinese language and culture, $500 each will be awarded by the South Pasadena Chinese-American Club (SPCC) to two senior students in the Chinese-language class at South Pasadena High School.
All seniors who are enrolled in the Chinese-language class for a minimum of one year.
- Submit an essay in Chinese, which can be supplemented in English, explaining why you chose to learn Chinese, and describe your participation in activities that promote Chinese culture. From what you learned, describe what you think is most important, most useful, and most interesting.
- Submit your class schoolwork binder, which will be returned to you afterwards.
This committee will consist of five members as appointed by the SPCC Board. The award will be given at the SPHS Senior Awards Night.
- The 2017 Application may be printed from the website or obtained from Ms. Emily Chiang, the Chinese-language teacher.
- Completed applications must be received by Ms. Chiang by April 10, 2017.
